The Gresham Metropole Hotel is housed in a traditional, 5-storey building with a red brick façade and an attractive, fan-shaped glass canopy over the entrance. Inside, the public areas feature lofty coffered ceilings, granite and marble tiles and plush carpets. Varying in size, due to the age of the building, the 113 well-detailed guestrooms offer traditional comforts with a contemporary feel. All are clean and well maintained, as are the en suite bathrooms. Boasting magnificent and unique views looking over Cork's famous River Lee, the hotel’s 80-seater Riverside Restaurant serves international cuisine using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Situated at the front of the hotel, along MacCurtain Street, the Met Bar is a spacious, elegant and traditional-style venue, split over two levels and furnished with comfortable two and three-seater sofas.
